Translation is a kind of art. A translator should have in-depth knowledge of both the source language and the target language while translating any piece of literature or any content. All translation works vary in their range of targeted audience and readers.

Localization of any translated work/language is done taking into consideration the correctly adaptation of literature as per local and specific market or culture. Localization and internationalization are two integral parts of globalization. Localization has to do more with acknowledging local sensitivities, avoiding cultural conflicts and making the work more regionally accepted and cherished. Same language can be spoken in different regions with different grammatical, spellings and even different pronunciations, like Hindi spoken in Bihar, UP is different from Hindi spoken in other northern parts of India. Similar is the case with other languages like English (American, British, Indian etc), Chinese (Beijing –er hua, Tianjin dialect etc.) and others.

Internationalization is the process that supports localization to be carried out in much faster and easier manner. During the process of internationalization, the local elements are separated from the source language/code and the localized content is expected to be selected by the end-users as per their language preferences. Internationalization is also a kind of designing a software application that can be adapted to different languages. Though there are some nuances. When a US application is to be made accessible to other language speaking people like Britishers, Australians, French and others, there is a need to make a little more than a few spelling and sentence structure changes and corrections, but in case of translating from English to Chinese or Japanese or Korean (these are pictorial languages), the effort made for making the application accessible is more harder and complex.
Globalization is a combination of localization and internationalization. This process provides uniform strategy and framework of operation at global platform. This is boundless and limitless. According to the Oxford dictionary, the word globalization was first used in the 1930. Globalization has had an immense impact on the lives and cultures of human beings and so it also had enormous impact on the work of translators. Translators help in making literature of one language more accessible to the entire world, beyond any territorial boundaries.

Translators are the main actors in these processes. No information is transferred unless a translator comes in the picture. Translators enhance communication and reduce language barriers. In case of specialized translation and localization process, translators possess a high level of understanding of local requirements and are familiar with local languages and dialects. We as a translators play a vital role in global business assisting cross-cultural communications and exchange of information.
On the other hand, a translator is also supposed to know more apart from just concentrating on learning languages. Translators and interpreters have to make themselves acquainted with knowledge of society, culture, economy, finance, marketing, social media, changing international relations on world platform et cetera. Because simply knowing about language does not help in the long run. This knowledge has not be coupled with other extra knowledge in order to excel.
