BRIEF PROFILE:
My name is Neha Kumari, a graduate French language student. I have pursued my higher education with a science stream. I have completed graduation in French Language and literature from the Amity school of foreign languages(Amity University). Also, I learned Japanese at a basic level. I am a creative and innovative person. I like to read. Being passionate about social work, I have worked as a volunteer at NGO JAX foundation to help serve the community and pay back in whatever way I can. I am interested in sketching, reading. I completed my 12th with science stream but after two years of higher education, I decided that I no longer have an interest in science fields, I also do not want to follow this social hurdle of doing engineering like everyone. I want to do something different, and I was always interested in learning new cultures and languages. My interest in learning new languages and new cultures also made me apply for the French language in college as a subject. After doing my research, I decided to choose French as my career choice because I liked this beautiful language and culture. From a career point of view, it is the most prominent language after English. I want to have exposure to working in a corporate world.
MY CAREER GOALS:
I have always had a diverse interest ranging from arts, literature, language to science. After my higher education, I have decided to focus on my interest in languages. I have always been interested in learning new languages, and it is fascinating how language can make a difference in a good way. Finally, after a lot of research, I chose this beautiful language called French. I have completed my graduation by June and honestly speaking, three years of college education have been great. I explored French literature, francophone culture, developed my interests in translation and linguistics, and, now, I wish to further complete my Master's in the same subject with a specialization in Translation and French literature studies. As we knew, English is the most noticeable language on the planet. Thus, one may scrutinize the significance of interpretation, and ask, for what reason doesn't everyone simply communicate in English? The reality, nonetheless, is that not every person in the world can communicate in English, maybe considerably more significantly: language is substantially more than the communication of words. It is anything but a declaration of culture, society, and conviction. Advancing a widespread language, subsequently, would almost certainly prompt a deficiency of the way of life and legacy imparted through local dialects.
The reason I have chosen this particular field of language is the realization that translation is a whole different thing than language learning. It is very complex. Translation enables effective communication between people around the world. It is a courier for the transmission of knowledge, a protector of cultural heritage, and essential to the development of a global economy. My present goal is to do well with my internship. After gaining experience from this internship program at MODLINGUA, I will utilize my knowledge during my Master's, I will love to work as a translator to increase my competency in the French language. I will be preparing for my B1 DELF exam in the coming months.
