My interest in the foreign language instilled a reverence at a young age, i.e. during my schooling. After my Bachelor’s, I was sure to upgrade my German language skills at a professional level. So, I joined Goethe Institut, New Delhi, and last attended the C1.2 course. MY CAREER GOALS
By Nikita Gupta
One of the most rewarding aspects of the human experience is our ability to communicate with others. It exposes us to and fosters an appreciation for the traditions, religions, arts, and history of the people associated with learning about another culture. Exploring the language helped me draw comparisons to what is most familiar.
Learning about another culture sheds light on aspects of my own culture- both positive and negative- which I may not have previously considered. My interest in the foreign language instilled a reverence at a young age, i.e. during my schooling. Manav Sthali School offered Foreign Language (German) in the school curriculum. It was then, in Grade 6, I decided to enhance my knowledge of the language. My interest in the language led me to learn German as an additional language till Grade 12. A seminar conducted by the school authorities on the importance of the German Language had a significant impact on me, leaving me with the clarity of my Career.
Being a commerce student, pursuing B.com (Prog) from Kalindi College, University of Delhi [2015-2018] was the first milestone in my journey. The enabling environment offered at the college aided my holistic development. It provided me with thorough introductory knowledge of the economy, finance, and business environment and its working. I worked in the Executive Body of Commerce and held several positions of responsibility during my bachelor’s. I was a part of organizing committees for several cultural festivals and academic engagements, which bolstered my skills as a leader and a team player.
After completing my Bachelor’s with 8.394 CGPA securing first division, I joined NMIMS Deemed-to-be-University Mumbai to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration (PGDBFM 2018-2020). It was a distance learning course. This helped me develop a comprehensive understanding of experimentation, characterization, and data analysis. It helped me strengthen my interpersonal skills, helping me acquiring a provident approach, an unfaltering attitude, and sincerity towards my work.
Staying in contact with the language, I met few people during my bachelor's with whom I used to interact in German, then I was sure to upgrade my German language skills at a professional level. So, I joined Goethe Institut, New Delhi in 2018 and last attended the C1.2 Level in 2021. Still need to appear for the C1 Exam.
Learning closely, I found the vision to be a Translator or Interpreter, seeking to grow as an excellent, and most importantly, a better person with my goal of consistently learning and reforming myself for challenging positions.
