The USA followed by China, Japan, India is the biggest user of the internet. 89 percent of people in the USA search online before buying a product even if they buy it locally, not just online. Apart from information, it is used to promote individuals as well as their business interests. The details and image of your business and products are easily visible to potential customers and creates authenticity about the business. In comparison with other traditional advertising options, it is far more cost effective. It can be used as a translation tool. In today’s global world people of all age groups are using Google as a search engine for different information, related to study material, travel, food, books, entertainment, etc.

It is very convenient as well as a fast tool and free of cost. People all around the world chat with foreign friends with the help of Google translate. Google periodically checks to improve its translations service. Of course, translators still need to check for accuracy and the gist of the text. Multilingual writers also need to check the grammatical and contextual errors after using Google translate. Hence proofreading and reviewing is a must after using Google translate. There are some language pairs which give more accurate translations due to the similarity in language and grammar and some language need more editing. As a translator, I also use Google translate Russian-English and vice versa and I need to modify according to the true meaning of the text. There are multiple meanings of a single word and you need to check the most suitable option. To give a simple example “Дом” in Russian can mean home, house or a building and “Улица” means a street as well outside. You need to keep the correct idea and emotions in the text, especially if it is a work of literature. Business letters, Company documents, and legal documents also need utmost accuracy as it can result in financial repercussions. You need to use the Google translate tool intelligently, using digital media and your mind.
