Each business has its own translation and interpreting requirements. Nowadays, there are a lot of online machine translations available such as Google Translate, but there are a lot of problems associated with it.
Although Online Translation services or apps are free of cost they are of importance when a general idea of a text written is required but not the specific meaning of the text. It must have happened to a lot of people at times that sometimes the Google Translator translates the text in such a way, that it just does not make sense. The sentences made are abrupt and very difficult to understand whereas only a few times it works well. However, it is not that reliable and one cannot completely trust it when it comes to the translation of a document that relates to the legal matters or of the company contracts. An important document, if not translated properly, can land the other person in deep trouble. There have been cases where a person was saved from going to jail because his translator interpreted the driving law in the wrong way.

This is where language professionals come into importance. A translator who knows the original, as well as the target language, is always an asset. .Investing a little more to have an accurate translation will always be a benefit to the company and its officials. Translating a text is also not just about the words, it is about the context of the text. A translator who knows both languages, need not do justice in translating the text if he does not have a subject-specific knowledge of what is important. Hence, it requires a lot of hard work in translating a text. There is also a possibility that a word does not have an equivalent in any other language. Here comes the importance of knowing the language completely. A translator should be able to put it in a way that that word is not missed out and the text is interpreted accurately in the target language. A translator must find a way to express it in a way that is understood by the readers. This kind of translators know their worth and hence charge accordingly. These translators also sometimes offer to show them a copy of translation from the internets such as a Google Translate and a copy that is translated by them. Hence, proving that the charge per word is worth it.
Talking about the alternative options available to the language officials, teaching or training the respective language comes first. One could start teaching in schools, colleges, work freelancers, or open a Teaching Institue. Other than these, Content writing, web designing, content writing on the internet or in magazines, etc, Journalism translation and interpretation are also some of the important alternative options for a language professional. High tech Companies like IT also hire translators to work with them. Working Research institutions, consulting firms, government, militia are all options available for a language official.
Taking into account entrepreneurship to be the way forward is an interesting part. It is one of the most innovative steps. I genuinely believe that this is really a step forward to a better working environment for the language professionals and a key for them to expand themselves professionally as well as financially. It is very common these days that almost 70% of people want to start their own business and do not want to work under anybody, simply because they do not want to be given orders by others. They want to be the boss themselves. Nowadays everyone wants to be an entrepreneur. This also deals with the money. If all the investment is done by the entrepreneur, he is also likely to have all the profit if the righteous steps to a successful business are followed.
A business can be expanded through the help of social media like Facebook, Instagram or through websites such as google, yahoo, etc. Entrepreneurs are now expanding their business frontiers by collaborating with IT companies. In order to do networking, making a digital footprint comes at the top. This is thus done by making a community group on Facebook, or can also be done through starting a youtube channel. In order to become an entrepreneur, one must be determined and open to innovation and creativity. Not all translators are able to become entrepreneurs because not many people have the ability to take risks. These people who succeed inspire young students in school or at colleges to become entrepreneurs.
