The insightful video shared by Modlingua's team reminded me of my own life story where I grappled a lot for following my dreams.
I've always been passionate about the French language. It is very rare to find an eighth class teenager who is clear and ambitious with what she wants to become in her life. Once, I had a French Olympiad conducted at my school for which I was thoroughly prepared. Being a skeptical girl, I was incredulous to the idea of not being able to win any medal. Certainly, I left all my hopes and decided not to choose French as my career. But turns out, destiny had something else planned for me. In the tenth class when I got to know about a French Exchange Program being conducted by my school, I was petrified of the outcome but I worked hard anyway. I secured the second position out of eighty students and also represented my county in France. And then, my life took a turn for the worse. Since I didn't have the option of studying the language during my +2, I attended the weekend classes at Alliance Française de Delhi with my regular schooling and tuitions on weekdays. I also served myself as a tutor for those two years which was my first step at being self-reliant. It was a pestering schedule for me but I knew how crucial it was for my career-building and skill enhancement. I was criticized by most of my school teachers, for they never supported my dream of building my career in a language. My math teacher challenged me if I could score good marks in my board exams. Teachers have no clue to what extent their words can shake a child's confidence. So instead, I chose to stand still and face all the provocations. I didn't let any of this made me doubt my worth and value. Eventually, because of my zeal and grit, I not only scored 95 in my math paper but also took admission in my desired field.
Similarly, just when you think everything is over, life has something better to serve you. Life does not have a 'No U-turn' sign. Always remember, today is the first day of the rest of your life. So whenever the opportunity is given, work hard, make a fresh start, and do wonders. Besides, parting knowledge to my students made me perceive that earning money for the sake of being rich can never act as an asset to your life. Not he who has much is rich, but he who gives much is rich. The only way you can make money is when you add some value to somebody's life. For this to happen, you should think of something that benefits a lot of people. Furthermore, obstacles are going to be a part of your journey, but it'd all be worth it. If there will be no hurdles, you'll never feel the joy of achieving them. You want something so badly and there are thousands of people to stop you. Nonetheless, any of the challenges thrown at you shouldn't let you underestimate yourself. Instead, roll up your sleeves and bounce back with a higher amount of energy.
