We all must've heard these lines at some point in our lives:
“Failures are the Stepping Stones of Success”
Well, it is indeed true. How many of us actually succeeded in what we try in the first attempt? Ummm...not many. This proves success is not obtained overnight. It takes a lot of patience, hard work, and needs many attempts to bring success to our side.
Just look at the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. He lost eight elections, failed twice in business, and suffered a nervous breakdown all before becoming one the greatest American presidents. Through failure, he developed the persistence necessary to later lead his country through one of its toughest periods in history. Perhaps he never could have done so without experiencing so many failures himself.
What does that tell us about taking risks? Taking risks doesn’t mean succeeding every time, and that’s ok! The process of taking risks may lead to failure, but even that can make us a better person by increasing the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties and hardships.
Critical Analysis
This video conveys an influential message that success doesn’t happen overnight, it comes in installments; you get a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out. It takes time, commitment, and focus to get to the top. It’s a process that will involve overcoming challenges and obstacles, but at the same time will teach you some incredibly valuable lessons along the way.
Mr. Ramesh Aravind very excellently elucidated the importance of the quote "Today is the first day of the rest of your life".
If you are on the wrong path and not achieving what you want, don’t stop, or criticize the path. Take a new path today. Even Abraham Lincoln wouldn't have been able to taste the flavors of success if he would've given up so easily.
Sometimes we stumble not because the goal is out of reach, but rather because of unexpected obstacles and setbacks that get in our way. If we’re able to figure out how to successfully dodge through these landmines, that’s when an improbable goal becomes a deep-rooted part of our reality. It's the joy and journey of clearing those obstacles that make life rich and helps people feel truly accomplished when they finally reach their pinnacle of success. Take some time and think about how you can grow and challenge yourself to improve. Plan out new ways to boost your skills to become the best version of yourself that you can be. Learning happens through failures, so remember that failure is a vital part of the journey.
