Being first in Google Search

As the internet has taken its roots all over the world,it has become part and parcel of a majority of the population. The internet has struck the world in every way possible,be it in the way people connect or be it the way people trade. But there is always one pioneer or a person who is preferred by all others in a field. Similarly there is someone in internet whom everyone follows for suggestions,for guidance, for ranking and what not. Presently in the world of internet,Google stays to be that benchmark on which people rate,search and decide. The reason being the sheer size of its reach. Google currently takes 90% of the search market,and is one of the most popular websites of the world. Which means that the majority of the customers will be regular google users and most of the visitors will find things using their search facilities. Presently Google is the top ranked search engine and it provides for almost 12 billion searches a month. Approximately 1.17 billion unique searches use it everymonth.

Being on the first page means you or your organisation is considered as one of the best. It means you are above other competitors. The ranking basically depends on the keyword searches. As a translator or a multilingual writer it is important to have a profile and have at atleast few clients to contact. Moreover it is also important to market oneself through social media. To be active inside the web world and contribute actively one needs to react to blogs and other writings using witty and thoughtful comments. Another strategy is to create a blog and writing articles. Publishing these articles is also an effective methods to promote oneself. Creating a website and introducing oneself in the world wide web is another method of marketing and branding oneself. The most effective way in marketing is creating clients and contacting translation agencies online and offline as well. A client prefers to see the languages one covers, native tongues, specialisations and any professional associations that one posses. All these efforts collaborate together would help in achieving top place in the search in optimisation. The AIDA model which is crucial in any business plan is important in promoting and branding oneself as well. According to the surveys 75% of the users never go beyond the first page of search results. Thus most people only prefer to choose from that list.

As a translator dealing with Hindi and English for me the importance of getting into the main stage of search engines, espeacially in Google results is very crucial. There is a wide scope and urgency in the field if translators in English and Hindi pairs. English being the global and Hindi the official language it is very important and essential for people who lack skills in both the languages. Especially in legal and other govermental documents translation is important and it also creates a gap in the society mainly in the southern part of India where Hindi isnt studied in detail. Every sphere needs translators and they inturn to brans themselves as the competition is very high. Knowing one of the regional or as many possible languages is of another importance for a  translator which expands ones area of work. Being good in Malayalam,Hindi and English would benefit me in handling translation works in these languages. Thus branding oneself is important and getting oneself or his organisation is important and apart from mere branding getting into  the top search results in Google is as important which shows the wide network in which one is working. This would not only increase the publicity of the translator but would increase the amount of work he gets and creating a larger group of clients resulting in a successful career in translation.
