There are alternate options for language professionals. Talking about entrepreneurship to be a way forward, well, in my opinion it is way forward, as it helps translators and language professionals to promote themselves socially and financially. They will be able to manage their time well, have the opportunity to enhance their skills, and increase their own income in a better way. In addition, no one will have authority over them, and in my opinion, this is the main gain as it will lead to their welfare and freedom.

Although it’s a very interesting topic to research and reflect. Starting with teaching or training the language , there are several alternate options a language professional can have. To name a few are, Voice over, writing , web designing, content writing, citizen journalism translation, transcreation , interpretation etc. Depending upon their ability, expertise and interest they can be absorbed in the range of organizations, including universities and colleges, high tech companies, research institutions, consulting firms, government, and the military. While we are working for others we just think in the box but as an entrepreneur , there is no box. Entrepreneurs see what others don’t.  In present time perhaps the most innovative and rapidly moving component in the field is entrepreneurship practice. Entrepreneurs themselves are expanding the boundaries with technology and network marketing. I won’t be exaggerating, if I say that entrepreneurship is seen as a saviour for our society and economy.

The main emphasis is on the influence of IT and translation technologies on the activities of the translators.

Translators need to adapt the dynamics of market forces, IT and translation technologies are necessary evils. Teamwork and multiplier effect.

There exits various roles of translators. The translators have to work within a team environment. The new environment provide them the opportunity to interaqct with the peers and senior members of the team, and gain experience ab iut the businesses;

The work experience combined with various work opportunities in the field of content management and localization industry , creates viability for the translators to play entrepreneurial role in the society.
