Ana Carlota Haack
My name is Ana Carlota Haack. As a sophomore at Bentley University, I am planning on majoring in Creative Industries with a minor in Entrepreneurial Science. I'm truly interested in this area of the industry because I have worked as President and Vice President of several organizations, and as a result possess strong organizational and analytical skills as well as team leadership characteristics. My background involves working as an administrative assistant in an aquaculture business, with my main purpose focused on promoting the company's stability and contacting the clientele. Additionally, my interests in Creative Industries have caused me to create my own non-profit organization, which I called Cascosa Color. This company was focused on selling hats with designs pertaining to the need of freedom of Venezuelan citizens. Every hat had two goals, donating its profits to people in need back in Venezuela, while at the same time spreading the message that the nation is in need. Completely managing this small organization that sold 100 hats in only three weeks, allowed me to understand all business aspects, and most importantly that of customer relationship management. Additionally, I have worked with a non-profit organization known as Plan País as a Marketing Team member. As a strong leader and a person who truly enjoys organizing large events and promoting teamwork, I am looking forward to working with Modlingua this summer.
Career Goals
Working with two different non-profit organizations that pertain to help those in need back in my country Venezuela, I have realized that whichever career goal I take in life, will go back to building Venezuela. As a major in Creative Industries and minor in Entrepreneurship, my goals focus on graduating from Bentley University and staying in the United States as a working citizen. With my bilingual abilities and the expansion of such characteristics as well as my ability to evaluate creative companies that help Venezuela, I hope to create a connection between my country and the United States. I hope to expand the international relations that the United States has with Venezuela and therefore increase the aid provided to the nation. Nowadays it is important to maintain positive external relationships, and through my previous work and my continuation of aiming to help Venezuela, I have proven that this will be part of my career goal. Joining Modlingua will allow me to understand better the effects of international communication, research, and hopefully translation.
