Nidhi Joshi

I am Nidhi from Pune, Maharashtra. Currently, I am pursuing my bachelor studies in Spanish Language Literature and Culture. I have also been learning German for 4 years. I can speak English, Spanish, German, Hindi and Marathi. I have a fair knowledge of translation and interpretation and have volunteered at several conferences. Apart from academics, I am interested in social work and I have worked with several NGO’s like SWaCH, and ASER.  I am a passionate writer and blogger.

This internship with Modlingua offers me the opportunity to pursue my interest in language studies and explore the other areas comprehensively. It will prove to be a valuable experience for me and I am sure my interest will contribute meaningfully for Modlingua.

Career Goals

Languages have always fascinated me since childhood.  Growing up in a travel enthusiast household, experiencing new cultures and traditions have always intrigued me. Learning a new language not only teaches you the language but also makes you understand the people, lifestyle, culture, traditions etc which opens your mind to the new multicultural world. It helps you understand the diversity and gives you a broader perspective. Learning new languages made me inclined towards their cultures which in turn gave me a sense of the ground reality of the world. Coming from a social science background, the social aspect of the language enthrals me. As the corporate social world concerns me equally I would like to use my language knowledge in collaborating with other parts of the world resulting in the development of both sides. Trade being an important part of the global platform, I look forward to being the connecting factor and bring the world closer. In the next few years, I find myself dealing with the other parts of the world through my language knowledge and research interest and making the world a friendly and better place to live in. 

Modlingua offers me the unique opportunity to learn the basic skills of language application in the market and hence brings me closer to my goals. It is a perfect internship I endeavour into. I am extremely excited and honoured to be a part of the Modlingua community and look forward to an exhilarating and valuable experience.
