Brief profile

I am Vaishnavi Ojha and currently, I am pursuing my graduation in the German language with French as my other language at the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies, University of Delhi. I have completed my high school from Ghaziabad with “Humanities” as my main subject. From my childhood, I have been interested in learning new languages. I used to ask my grandmother and father to teach me Bengali and my aunt to teach me Tamil. My interest and keenness kept growing as my father had to move to different cities because of work and so we do have to. And because of this, I became more interested in language, culture, habits, traditions and many more. When I had to decide what to pursue, I could not find any better option than German honors. German, being one of the most speaking languages in Europe, would definitely help me learn more about people, culture, and others. I knew this course would definitely help me in pursuing my interest which in turn would make my learning enjoyable too. Since my childhood, I have been taught to make efforts to achieve things and in the process of achieving, being patient is very important. I believe learning any language has no end. Its knowledge grows with time and practice and I know I am ready to give 100% to it as this has become my passion and my only aim in life. Recently I started teaching some kids German language from basics. I am enjoying it and it is helping me in improving and strengthening my basics also. Talking about my other interests, I am very much interested in reading novels and books. And I believe this enhances our horizon of learning. And other than reading, I love to travel to new places and meet new people. In the end, I would just like to say that maybe I have not achieved much till now but I can assure if given opportunity I will make full use of it to enhance my personality and knowledge.

Career Goals

I am a goal oriented girl with great determination and persistence and I wish to create my space in this world of knowledge. I want to work in an atmosphere that constantly challenges my knowledge and pushes me to learn more side by side. My temporary goal is to learn the most of German which I can through my graduation at this university and wishes to do explore more in the same field. And the main aim of my life is to work so hard and be successful in my life that makes me and my family proud of myself. I wish to be a translator/interpreter or work in the German Embassy or a reputed organization where I will give my best. The main thing for me is that my job should make me happy and make me want to go there and I believe this is what I want to work in my future. 
With this internship, I am expecting a worthy experience because I would not only get a great exposure but also would grant me a platform to apply my knowledge for the first time under the guidance of some very senior teachers.
