A brief about Sharon Ramsey:
My name is Sharon Ramsey, currently pursuing MBA from SBPPSE, Ambedkar University, Delhi. Fascination towards Arts, Literature, and various cultures around the globe sparked my interest in learning a foreign language which is why I took the French language as one of the main subjects along with English in graduation, and further completed a diploma in French, up to level B1.
Blending my creativity in fields of video making and photography with French linguistic knowledge I was able to acquire 2nd prize in French short film making competition organized by Delhi University in collaboration with French Institute in India and Swiss Embassy in India.
Language is a strong vehicle of culture, thoughts, ideas, and communication that has not only helped me craft myself as an observant individual but also enhanced my understanding and knowledge regarding various cultures and human interaction. In order to broaden the familiarity with various other languages and empower my cognitive abilities, I listen to Spanish and Korean songs, enjoy watching Thai drama, read lifestyle blogs and poems in French and learn new words in Malayalam and Tamil.
Career Goals:
Growing up I have always been inspired by women entrepreneurs and leaders creating positive change in people’s lives and making the world a better place. I also aspire to create a meaningful change in the society as a whole.
Ever since I started gaining interest in the field of business and thus always wanted to be around this specific domain. I took commerce in school and now an MBA for further advancement of knowledge and skills to amplify my professional growth. In college, I'm a part of branding society which gave me the opportunity to create and organize business events and even work as a content writer. Further case studies and research projects have helped me developed structured thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. I fostered these skills in a National case study analysis competition organized by Asian Business School, where along with my team I won 2nd prize. This not only made me more confident as a person but also strengthened my teamwork, listening, and collaborative capabilities. Hence, enabled me to explore career opportunities where I can put these skills and transition them along with the growth of a corporation.
I applied for an internship at Modlingua because I believe it will provide groundwork in the development of managerial skills required in the corporate world along with the exploitation of my French linguistic skills. I seek to work in the areas of project management and market research offered by the organization as it would assist me to build understanding regarding the market, customer, business operations, and challenges involved in the same. I aim to create outstanding value for both the organization and to myself.
