BRIEF PROFILE
My name is Aakash Poonia, I'm 19 years old. Currently, I'm a second-year student of bachelors in German at the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies, Faculty of Arts, Delhi University. I've done my schooling from New Delhi with stream "Science". I have always had an immense passion for learning a foreign language. I chose to learn German because not only it is the most widely spoken language in Europe but it also is the language of inventors and innovators. German literature and history have always fascinated me. From the past 2 years, our Department has been celebrating "German day" where I participated in a "German play" and was awarded certificates for the same. Such activities helped me to boost my self-confidence. I've studied Portuguese for a year as my Generic Elective subject. I'm also learning German at Max Muller Bhawan to upgrade my German speaking and writing skills. Also, I am pursuing a diploma course in Tourism studies from India Gandhi National Open University. I've always been taught that success is achieved by those who try and keep trying. I am a hardworking and dedicated student who likes to learn and explore new things and work with new people. As far as my hobbies are concerned, I like to explore what my life is offering me. I love to travel and I read novels a lot. I'm looking forward to working with Modlingua. At Modlingua, my main focus is to enhance my communication skills. I'm certain that this Summer Internship will help me in expanding my horizons.
CAREER GOALS
What is a GOAL anyway? It is a target and target gives a person a compelling reason to achieve it. Having a goal in mind is the first step to success. I am a goal-oriented boy with great determination and persistence and I wish to create my space in this world of knowledge. Ten years from now, I see myself as a strong, independent, healthy, and most important of all, happy person, and I am aware that the only person that can get me there is myself by putting all the passion, effort and determination I have in everything I do. I wish to be a translator/interpreter or work as a Faculty in Max Muller, Delhi where I'll give my best. The main thing for me is that my job should make me happy and make me want to go there and I believe this is what I want to work in my future. Modlingua is just the right place for me to polish and refine my German skills. If given a chance to be part of Modlingua, I shall work in my fullest capacity and prove to be an asset to the company.
