BRIEF PROFILE:

Konnichiwa! I’m Nisha Anandani from Pune. I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in the Japanese Language from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth. Having a commerce background, I love number crunching. Hence, I joined Disha Institute & have a certification in advanced accounting. I love learning & always lookout for opportunities to upgrade my skills. I have always loved watching anime cartoons while growing up & started appreciating the Japanese culture. It helped me decide to learn Japanese - not only for a certificate but also to understand the culture & the country better. In my first year, we had class activities and workshops such as Yukata wearing, Shodō(calligraphy), Sadō(tea ceremony). This helped me get a real-world feel of Japanese culture & mannerisms.

I started looking for part-time opportunities to improve my knowledge. I started working as an online Japanese language trainer for a company called Omnipresent (Bengaluru) for basic level(N5). I found my interest in teaching. I now take an online Japanese class for N5. Besides teaching, I have also worked as a freelancer for a Japanese company for 2 weeks filling forms for their marketing purposes.

I have always been keen to learn and improve my skills regardless of the field.  Modlingua is the perfect platform to gain and implement my knowledge & skills. I look forward to working with Modlingua. I am sure it will be a fruitful journey. Thank you.

CAREER GOALS:

My current short-term goal is to develop and use my language & communications skills in an internship like this one. If given an opportunity I would like to learn as much as possible with an open mind.

However, in the long term, I would like to pursue an MBA in Finance & work for a Japanese corporation.  I believe I could use my language and number crunching skills in such an environment to help companies in better financial analysis. The key to any form of success is to have discipline & the Japanese have a culture of discipline in their organizations. I have admired this from a very young age and it was also one of the reasons for me to take up the Japanese language course.

I believe in this ever-changing professional environment where nothing is constant. The only way to survive is to develop new skills & keep learning.

I will learn these specific skills at Modlingua which will help me achieve my long-term goals.
