Brief profile
My name is Hasnain Shakeel. I have completed my high school at Aligarh Muslim University City High School and also completed my senior secondary school from Sayyid Hamid Senior secondary Schoolboys, AMU in PCB stream. Right now I am pursuing my graduation in the Russian language from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh.
When I was in class X, I wanted to learn a new language that’s why I opt this field for my graduation. Learning the Russian language allowed me to understand the Russian people and their country's culture and also helped me in enhancing my communication skills at the same time.
I enjoyed learning the Russian language. I took part in different competitions in the Russian language. I got first prize in an essay writing competition organized by the Russian Centre Of Science And Culture, New Delhi. I also took part in the First All India Olympiad In the Russian language organized by Pushkin Institute, Moscow. I did a small video project in spoken Russian for this event. I qualified Ist round and reached the finalist's list. And also took part in different competitions.
I always ready to learn new things and develop my skills to fulfill the need of the corporate world. In the future, I wish to further enhance my capabilities by pursuing Masters's degree in the same domain with a specialization in translation work.
Career goals
When I was in class 10th I thought to do differently from others then I came to know that Aligarh Muslim University is going to introduce a new course BA in Foreign Language since then my mindset was that I should go with this course in future.
Right now I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in the Russian language from AMU. In my course, I read Russian Literature and I found that most of the stories which were being taught in Indian schools or colleges were written by Russian famous writers like Aleksandra Pushkin, Gogol, Lermontov, etc. This influenced me more than I should study further Russian Literature and now I have decided to do my Master’s in the Russian Language. I want to go for a master’s degree in the same domain and also want to learn digital marketing as it helps various companies and organizations from MNCs to small businesses to reach a wider audience. I want to work in the corporate sector as a Russian-English Translator. I want to create my own identity and spread my work to all the people for which I need a platform of my own. Wanted to create a network of people through which we can work in a team and fulfill our future dreams.
After pursuing this summer internship program at Modlingua, along with my studies I would like to do some translation work or freelancing, It will enhance my knowledge. I have planned to go to Russia for my master’s and want to become a native speaker.
