Paula Sifredi
My name is Paula Sifredi and I'm 28 years old. I am from Argentina and my mother tongue is Spanish. I graduated from high school as an electromechanical technician. During that time, I also studied English as a second language and I sat for two international exams: FCE and Practical Business English, which I passed with distinctions. After high school, I started college to become a certified translator. I have not yet finished that career, for personal issues, but I did start working as a freelance translator to improve my experience and add projects to my CV and portfolio.
Since 2011 I have translated various projects, including a volunteer translation for the UN and 4 of the National Geographic travel guides for Spain, for which I am the published translator.
I also love playing video games, both on consoles and on the computer, reading, writing, cosplaying and going to all type of conventions, from cars to comic books. I have 3 main professional goals: 1. Become a certified UN translator; 2. Become a video games localizer; 3. Become a professional writer. I have been chosen by Modlingua to be an intern and the 4 areas where I am looking to building up strength are video game localization, website localization, general translation and IT related translations. Thanks for having me here!
