Martín Rost
My name is Martín Rost, I am an English-Spanish translator from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am 24 years old and I have been a translator and language teacher since 2011. My main fields of expertise are legal and technical translation, and I also have a background on subtitling. Currently I am writing a research paper in order to obtain my Sworn Translator degree from the University of Lanús, Buenos Aires.
My experience as a translator has been mostly as a freelancer, but I have worked with agencies as well. My strong points are that I am young but yet experienced in translation, able to work with CAT tools and very eager to learn and improve continuously.
I love sports: football, handball and cricket are my favorites (although cricket is not very popular in Argentina). I am also learning German as my third language, one day I would like to offer my services in that language too. I take that as a long term goal.
Today I want to develop my marketing and entrepreneurial skills to complement my translation ability. I hope the Modlingua internship will be a part of this progress, I know that effort and patience will bring results. Thank you for reading.
