About the Internship:
Modlingua Pvt. Ltd. is India's No. 1 certified quality translation and interpretation providing company based in New Delhi. I used to be always curious about learning new things: language is one of them. I like to learn new languages. So, After my 12th, I decided to learn a foreign language in 2018. But, I used to be not clear on a way to take it as my career option and what is going to be of my future. While doing the Internship at Modlingua, I got an opportunity to get a handle on the incomprehensibility of this line of professionalism. Our Internship started at the end of June, and resulted in mid-September, continued for about three months. We had a weekly meeting through a web platform like Zoom and Facebook. We also had information access using Whatsapp Group Mr. Ravi Kumar, the founder of Modlingua Group, was and supervisor of our internship program.
During the internship program, we had online lectures using PowerPoint presentations and, later, we had to submit one Assignment in approx. 700-1000 words supported our learning and understanding during the lecture program. We had to submit five Assignments in total; lastly, we had to report on the internship program. The primary report was to make our professional profile on the website of Modlingua Pvt. Ltd. This formally made us a part of Modlingua. Our following assignments have supported the subject of our lectures. The lectures were very enlightening and fruitful for any new language learner. it was not like several monotonous, boring classroom lectures, but a remarkable one, where we could discuss our problems, doubts with our supervisor right at the instant.
In between our supervisor, Mr. Ravi Kumar wants to test our reasoning and analytical skills in respect of translation and learning by providing us videos on Translation, transcription. we'd like to produce our point of view within the comment box. it's interesting to determine how the thinking and perception of individuals vary. These exercises also broaden our ideas.
Interns also asked to assist and suggest ways to push the brand Modlingua. it was a sort of trial project for learning the way to create your brand and the way to be good at social marketing. I attempted to try to do my best by sharing the video link to my friends, members of the family, acquaintances through whatever possible means I could do. Our first Assignment was on critically discussing the importance of social media and its leveraging networks. Before assigning the Assignment, we had a webinar with Dr. Amit Nagpal, President, Blogger Alliance, and therefore the Modlingua team on this subject.
Our second Assignment was on Citizen Journalism. Interns were provided videos on citizen journalism for the references. We also must make a video report on current affairs or any burning issue that affect our day-to-day lives. I chose mental state issues because it's the smallest amount talked about topic in India and, we must always speak about it freely. we must always acknowledge psychological state is vital.
After that, our third Assignment was explaining the relevance of IT and its use in Translation and also, have to prepare a video on how IT helps Translators and language professionals. Interns were provided videos on that in Translation for the references. After that, we had a webinar on computing and its importance, language Processing(NLP), with the Modlingua Team and Mr. Deep Saxena, founding father of Deepminds Technologies. Mr. Ravi Kumar explained to us the growing importance of A.I, NLP, and their Importance in Translation. He also explained to us the ANT theory -the Importance of Machines.
In our fourth Assignment, Interns were supplied with five different Articles, we have to give the solution to one question associated with the Articles given to us. I picked " Where does one see translation within the next ten years? " because technology has brought many changes in language A.I, CAT tools, the rapid growth of A. I technologies are going to make our work easy, faster, and global.
Our last Assignment that's the Fifth, is to put in writing an in-depth report on your summer Internship with Modlingua. And also have to make a video report associated with language, culture, and Translation.
Personal Evaluation:
My personal experience at Modlingua has been very positive and enlightening. I am extremely honored to induce the chance to be an intern for this organization. it was a good experience on my behalf and that I can say many thanks to the Modlingua for allowing me to possess this incredible experience. With such empathetic, compassionate and supportive mentors, this experience has helped me achieve my goal of completing my internship. due to the internships, I learned not only from my supervisor and cooperating mentor but from others interns too.
