Vivek Khullar

Myself Vivek Khullar, working as a freelance Travel Professional in Tourism industry serving Tourists coming to India sub-continent as well as Indians travelling abroad for leisure. My total experience in the Tourism industry is about 15-years, making arrangement for travellers including translating Tour itineraries as well as email correspondence with Spanish-speaking clients who find their native language comfortable than English.

Last year I lost the opportunity to be part of Modlingua due to family commitment and could not furnish required details by the deadline but this year I do not want to miss it. Though I may not be as young as other Interns of Modlingua, definitely my quest and dedication to polish my language skills will not be less than other young interns. I look forward to meeting another 200 personalities and learn new skills from Modlingua and them. I know that I have to juggle between my profession, family and language internship. Career Goals:

I always had a dream to make friends from different countries and learning Spanish helped me to live my dream. Though I learned Spanish accidentally after completing my Graduation in Commerce stream, it helped me meet new people and opened new Horizons for me in Tourism industry without doing any professional course in Travel and Tourism.

After graduating in Commerce, I did Post Graduate Diplomas in both Computers and Business Management but my first love is Spanish that is why I stick myself to Travel industry because of its human touch rather than sitting several hours in front of Computer. I was fortunate to learn Spanish at Delhi University’s Department of Germanic and Romance Studies where had done one-year full time ‘Intensive Advance Diploma’ (last batch) which was later on converted into Bachelor’s Degree on our valuable suggestions.
