“Today is the first day of the rest of your life”. The entire speech in the video has contact with this phrase, which talks about the awakening for a fresh start. It’s purely motivational. In a world where people live in individual domes and see only themselves, contemplating their selfishness and narcissism, the phrase is practically a breakdown of values and its logic is for the most persistent, that is, for those who find the solution to inertia through individual and collective actions, for those who wish to free themselves from their own fears, and also for those who simply want self-liberation.
Knowing how to listen, understand the point of view of the interlocutor, and dialogue with clarity and respect is a gift that few people have. Deal with demotivation and failures as well. But, as has been said, it is never too late for a fresh start. Getting out of bed (especially nowadays), drinking a cup of coffee, and stirring the body are revolutionary attitudes that, in a certain way, impel the individual to move on, even though there is a chaotic world waiting for him outside. Knowing that there are chances of winning the day, however small the percentage, is also part of the (re)beginning. Building ties with people, respecting different environments, and keeping hopeful in the middle of the process and, finally, winning the day represents the end of the process. The next day, the cycle resumes.
Of course, throughout the process, there will be various obstacles: people will want to overthrow you, daily events may get out of hand and even the individual’s mind may become your enemy if he does not control it. However, even though these obstacles dominate him at a given time, he may well "turn the tables". And that’s exactly where you find the essence of what was said in the video: if you don’t nurture hopes of getting up after the fall and keep going, no one will do it for you. And that is why you must wake up, give yourself another chance and say to yourself, "Today is the first day of the rest of my life".
