The wolf pack strategy is one of the most important protectionist strategies. It tries to harness the knowledge of the experienced, strength of the young, instincts of the leaders, and innocence & curiosity of the novice for the benefit of the pack. The purpose of the strategy is to ensure the survival and to explore the possibilities of the growth and development. The translators and translation networks need a similar strategy in order to survive the cut throat competition of the modern times.
Survival
The imperialistic policy of the world leaders for a long period of time have resulted in the negative effects on the survival of the various local languages and cultures. These languages and cultures generated a unique perspective of their surroundings. With the advent of modern times, the language and culture of the developed nations have been killing these native languages and cultures mercilessly through changes in the legal language.
Translators and translation networks play a significant role of providing such languages the essential prevalent ideas that would ensure their survival. In this sense, they play an active role of the elders and leader providing guidance to the group for the direction of progress.
Protection and development
The progress in the fields of businesses, services, and explorations in the last couple of centuries have changed the horizon of the human reach. Those who targeted the world at large, now have the space to explore. It is essential to convey and communicate such details of news and research using different languages as to avail its benefit to many.
This is essentially a role of the translators and their networks that identify new opportunities and challenges of the latest research to a specific group and keep its members active. In this perspective, the translators play the role of the strong and agile that makes the updates of the world available to the pack and play active role to prepare the pack and its young ones for the competition they may face. Many a times the research from the different language and its popularity attack the perception of the local languages in richness and content. Translators bridge this gap and support various languages infusing motivation, confidence and putting their example forward as a role model to find economic perspective.
Leadership
Leader provides vision, mission, and ensures coordination and supportive behavior of the pack. Without an active leader, any pack can be vulnerable for its safety, direction of progress and unity.
Translator and their networks are the torch bearers that provide the essential details to the last member. They keep the progressive language setting composed and bridge the gap between the literary and the non-literary aspects of the language. With their efforts, the leaders of the language community take important directional steps. They play an important role in pulling the people out of their traditional thinking and keeping their pace with the trend. They become essential to opening the mind of the people to the change, keeping their dreams alive with supporting their self-confidence.

The languages of the world need survival, protection and chances of progress. With the chance of the economic independence, ensuring the practice by members of the society, increasing young practitioners of a language translators have a role to play for the common good.
