The world is so multilingual and multicultural that it is said “there are as many translations as there are languages in the world”. The importance of translation lays in the fact that it is one of the important aspects in various spheres of human activities. A person would not confine him to one language or his native language only, but would be interested to learn different languages. The practice of translation has been discovered or is being practiced even before the translation theories. Early evidence of translation dates from 2000 BC when “The Epic of Gilgamesh” was translated to Asian languages. After this the translation of Bible in Latin by St. Jerome one of the intellectuals of Roman Catholic Church. These events led to the foundation of what is now regarded as Translation Industry. The language translation and interpreting industry has been related to the terms like Globalization, Internationalization, Localization, and Translation. Thus forming the acronym GILT, an ever growing industry with infinite opportunities.

An article published in the PLANET VERITAS says “If language is not correct, then what is said is not what is meant; if what is said is not what is meant, then what must be done remains undone”. This emphasizes the level of efficiency that is expected from a translator. The group of translators must work in a group which must comprise of the newly budding translators to the language experts. According to Appraisal System for Translators (AST), translators must be ranked as assistant translators, translators, associate finalizers and finalizers. This group needs to function in a manner where all the efforts are put in effectively and the product is a success. Being more elaborate the translation industry or the translation network could adopt the famous “Wolf Pack Strategy”. There are experts in languages who have immense amount of knowledge and experience in translation. They must guide the network using their skills on what to translate and how to translate. Then comes the importance of the strong pillars of the group, the network needs some strong, educated, efficient, experienced and competitive personals to promote the network in every way they can through their translation skills and well as marketing skills. Not everyone in the team is strong, experienced and competitive some are newbie’s some are master in one field and some are in other. These people should be guided well enough in translation as well as on managing the network by the experienced ones by taking care of all and bring everybody together. The last but not the least is the person who manages the network he is the most skilled person both in managing, guiding and leading the team. He must follow the spirit of mutual help not leaving anyone behind. Management should work on weak and average participants so that they can get success and achieve their own goals. Considering the Wolf Pack Strategy any network could function effectively so can the translation network.
The translation network has been successful and it is also a fast growing network in the world because of its need. This network functions in each and every sphere of the life. Like Medical and health care, Business, International relations, tourism and cultural interchange, the list goes on. In short the translation industry or the translators in whole are simply opening the door for Global Commerce Village which is the most used term nowadays and a goal which everyone nation is trying to achieve. So the translation industry acts as a network in itself to create a network of countries to achieve this goal. Apart from this Translation can help bring about a better society by integrating, by working with immigrants and refugees. This group needs language assistance to interact with public services. Thus Translation can also be regarded as the stepping stone for integration of economies as well as people.
