For last the 200 years or so, our education system has given prime importance to technology and knowledge acquisition.

Certainly, we have made great advancement in technology. And machines have become part of our lives. Machines have integrated with us in such a way that we cannot think of living without them.

We have an endless list of gadgets such as laptops, desktops, smartphones, refrigerators, microwaves, air-conditioners, heaters, cars or other forms of transport system such as railways, bullet trains, jet planes, and rockets and so on, which keep us in a comfort zone.

With the advancement in computing, through Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, big data, and blockchain etc., the human brain is becoming passive and it is slowly losing its importance as chips, microchips, pills or even injections are inserted in the human body to create faster access to the information readily available for its consumption.

Under the given situation, it becomes very important for us to contemplate and plan our future, as the purely knowledge-based education system is not going to work well, especially when tools such as supercomputers, AI and big data are getting increasingly and easily available to the common masses.

Apart from these 3 points mentioned below this video also deals with how AI, Bots, and Robots are disrupting our established systems.

Translation of contents from one language to another: With massive multilingual inputs received globally on a second to the second basis, AI, Memory and machine learning codes deployed at platforms of big IT giants like Google, Microsoft or IBM etc have drastically improved their various automated systems that have been functioning with a considerable degree of accuracy. Slowly, time will come when they will start giving 100% accuracy, particularly in specialized domains such as engineering, climate, law, physics, chemistry, and biology etc.

Already a real-time voice to voice translation is a reality. One can talk to a person who does not understand his or her language through a simultaneous language conversion tool deployed in the system. For example Skype talk. Similarly, there are various apps available for the mobile phones, including Google Voice Translator. Give it a try, I am sure you will enjoy talking in multi-languages.

Disruption in customer relationship and service industry: My website www.modlingua.com uses a bot and a sales intelligent tool that has replaced the first line of customer executive. This means bots and AI have begun replacing receptionists, type-writers, customer care executives, sales executives, technical support team who used to interact with customers for responding to their basic inquiries and needs. Some of the smart offices using big data and deep learning tools have deployed smart bots that even predict the worth of a client including his/ her health status or their financial standing. So now, beware when you call your service provider. Most probably they know your pocket.

Also, we are required to learn the basics of human values to beat the machines.

We must understand that Humans have ignored the basics of maintaining harmony with mother earth and nature. Rather, we have developed weapons and tools for causing high pollution and mass destruction. That means, we have taken control of all possible resources of mother earth and have given back very little.

Also, we are again shifting towards a new regime when machines and AI are replacing the humans. This means, the knowledge-based system that we have used for the last many centuries will break soon, as machines and AI will do all such knowledge-based activities that humans have been doing.

Accordingly, we must focus on developing an education system that should focus on Human Values such as love, affection, passion, compassion, moral values, teamwork, ethics, faith, justice, cross-cultural knowledge, sense of respect, giving back to society.

"Nelson Mandela, one of the greatest leaders of Modern times, says: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

Jack Ma says we cannot teach our kids to compete with machines which are getting smarter day by day. We have to teach something unique so that machines can not catch up with humans. Jack Ma during his interaction with Media at World Economic Forum emphasized the need to transform our knowledge-based education to value-based education system so that humans differentiate themselves from machines.

Soft skills such as believing, independent thinking, teamwork and care for others, sports, music, painting, and Arts are the human markers, and our education system must focus on developing skills in these sectors to beat the machines.

That means we are left with no other options except one - “Going back to the Basics”, that is Human Values.

In the ancient times, since its origin, the Vedic system of India has always given prime importance to the maintenance of cosmic balance in the universe and adherence to human values. This means it is our duty to maintain harmony in the system where we live. For example, mother earth gives us, in abundance, all such things as air, water, food, and shelter that help us to lead a comfortable life. In return, we should also give back. We should plant more trees, causing no destruction to the eco-system, cause no pollution and maintain peace, harmony and complete balance in the system.
