Pooja Nandani
Hi, I am Pooja Nandani from Rajkot, Gujarat. I grew up in Ahmedabad where I graduated with a BE in Civil Engineering from LDCE. During my undergrad days, I also pursued the French language at the Alliance Française d’Ahmedabad.
My passion for the language led me to complete my DELF B2 as well as become a professor at the prestigious institute. I taught French to several batches at the institute as well as colleges in Ahmedabad.
I shifted to Rajkot post-marriage where I learnt Spanish and Chinese and cleared DELE 2 and HSK 2 in the respective exams with flying colours. I also taught French at TGES school here.
At present, I am continuing study in these two languages and hope to learn many, many more.
Career Goals
The selection of my career has always been a foggy matter to me. I am a civil engineer by graduation but chose against pursuing my masters in that field. Perhaps because I realised my true calling by then. There are many subjects that I can work with and research tirelessly but there is always a line of boredom that I reach eventually, a line of zero interest. I dabble in a plethora of subjects only to stop at a certain level. However, with languages, it is exactly the opposite case.
Which is why I managed to compile a dictionary of more than 4500 French verbs with their closest equivalents in English. My passion for languages knows no line, no end, no point. Also endless is my curiosity and the various confluences in etymology. Thus, I look forward to working with Modlingua.
