Brief Profile

I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s in the French language from the Department of Germanic and Romance studies and have been working as a French home tutor for quite some time now. I have a keen interest in learning new languages and I am very passionate about theatre. At present, my interest and love for the French language have grown tremendously. Apart from French, I also have a fair hold of Portuguese language which is an elective language at the University. I also know some basics of the Japanese language. At University, we learn about the various concept and technicalities of the language which in turn instills a creative spirit in the students. This is why I would love to engage myself in the field of content writing, translation and interpretation. My professors describe me as a hardworking and diligent person who believes in teamwork. Teamwork is the key when it comes to the professional field. I also dedicate my time reading articles online which help improve my writing and linguistic skills. I have also worked as a campus ambassador for a child rights organization.

Career Goals

Since I was in school, I was really fascinated by languages, especially foreign languages as they were in a sense ‘foreign’ to me. I used to try learning them through videos on the internet or various language learning applications. But it was after the completion of my schooling, I thought I should take my passion for languages to a higher level and hence, I ended up choosing French as my majors at the University of Delhi.

The entire language learning process intrigues me, right from learning the grammar and pronunciation of it to mastering it along with reading literature. Everything is fascinating and interesting. I also realized that I had a thing for teaching which ultimately resulted in my decision to take home tuition for French. This decision has instilled a fondness for teaching in me. I would like to carry it on by pursuing a masters in French and hopefully getting into academia.

Apart from this major goal, I would also like to hone my skills in content writing by working with an organization that caters to this very need. My passion for languages and literature has also equipped me with a critical approach. I would like to use this very critical approach in formulating and putting forward my ideas and opinions, but this would be only possible when one is given a suitable platform.

With this internship at Modlingua, I would be given an opportunity to come closer to my goals and learn the application of various skills and knowledge in the professional world. I would be very honored and elated to be a part of Modlingua community. I also assure to work to the best of ability to complete the task given at hand and come out as a hardworking intern at Modlingua.
