Brief Profile
I am Sharon Ann Titus, a student in the department of Germanic and Romance Studies (Delhi University). I am currently pursuing my bachelor's in German. I know English, Hindi, Malayalam, and German (B1). I have a B1 certificate in German from the onset exam(conducted in JNU). The reason I am learning German is that I’ve always found learning new languages fascinating, and German coming in the top 5 world’s hardest language made it more fascinating to me. Also, Germany is known for its long and rich history, one that has put it at the forefront of European thought, politics, and art for over 1,000 years. So they have an even more interesting culture. Apart from languages, I love music. I am a pretty okayish Singer as well. I’ve also learned playing guitar and piano.
Career Goals
Learning a language leads to self-development, cognitive abilities, and as a means of communicating with individuals from various backgrounds. To become a translator has always been one of my goals. Embassies likewise need good translators. Being a translator is not an easy task, it brings a lot of responsibilities along with it. An organization that would sharpen my skills in the same field would be a blessing and doing an internship at Modlingua would be the same, I am thankful for this opportunity. I would be able to learn the basics of translation, interpretation, and gain experience. As I firmly believe ‘Gratitude’ is the key. Therefore, I’m extending my gratitude in advance for this wonderful opportunity.
