Brief Profile
I am Ishita Goel, a second-year student pursuing a Bachelor's in French Studies from the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies, University of Delhi. To complement my undergrad studies, I am also enrolled as a student at Alliance Française de Delhi. My first encounter with the French language was as an optional subject in school in the fifth grade and I have found it immensely fascinating since then. The languages that I know currently are English, Hindi, French, and manageable German.
I am a diligent and resilient student who constantly looks out for opportunities to upgrade her skills. For the past two years, I’ve been teaching French to students of classes from 5th to 10th. Balancing my studies along with my extra-curricular activities has been an aid in making me an all-rounder. Not only have I shown keen interest in participating in various French quizzes but also have actively taken part in various debate competitions, street plays, PPT making competitions, photography competitions, and poster making competitions.
In addition, I have served as an official campus ambassador intern at International MUN, as a brand manager at BloomBuzz, and as a content writing intern at The Misfit Prose. My curiosity helps me to be a better learner at every stage of my life. The experiences that I gained in the past have made me a more responsible person. Being a part of this organization will refine my linguistic skills. So, I look forward to learning new things from this internship to challenge my capabilities and improve my quality of work.
Career goals
Since childhood, I have had a great interest in learning new languages but French appealed to me the most and now I am pursuing it. I've got a flair for languages and I am a firm believer in the fact that learning new languages broadens your horizons in more ways than one. After completing my graduation, I want to pursue a master's in the French language because of my keen interest in analyzing and studying different aspects of its history, philosophy, and literature.
My long-term career goal is to be a professor of the French language with having specialization in translation and interpretation. I have been teaching the French language to school students for 2 years and gradually, I have established an exceptional link with my students using this language. My affection and dedication towards the language have provided great assistance to the students in the field of academics. My thoughts of becoming a teacher became increasingly clearer, as I found that I love to work with students. I firmly believe that if I manage to help even one child achieve his or her goals, I will have accomplished something.
I am very curious by nature; I always want to improve and upgrade my skills over time. I am also planning to learn more foreign languages, travel to different countries, and learn about the cultures of different countries.
Since Modlingua’s internship provides a great opportunity that is specifically on the agenda of ‘teamwork’, my previous experience and capabilities will be polished and a different and enriching learning process will make me go closer to my future aspirations.
As an enthusiastic undergraduate with a bit of experience in teaching and content writing, I possess a range of knowledge that will allow me to contribute to the success of this internship. Having the grit to face challenges, I’m sure if the opportunity given, I’ll be an indispensable asset to your organization.
