Profile

My name is Sweta. I completed my baccalaureate with science and physical education. Since being from an Army background travelling and learning about different cultures became an inevitable part of my life so I thought learning a foreign language will open a gate to know the world. Therefore, right now I’m in my undergraduate program with a French major from the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies, Delhi University. Learning a foreign language, culture and literature are evolving my personality. I have extended my participation in the francophone day for poster making the previous year and singing this year.

Since the social condition of women has always interested me, I plan to join UN WOMEN one day to extended my skills and knowledge in support of the committee in hope of a better world tomorrow. For that, I have decided to study development studies in higher studies. I have also attended IMUN sessions as the delegate of the UN women committee.

This is a very small part of me I am working with time to add something new every time I write my profile. Working with Modlingua will be one of them. Looking forward to see myself as part of a summer intern at Modlingua.

Career Goals

I wish to see myself as water someday. Just like water can sustain in any container similarly with a diverse set of interests, say it to electronics, data analysis, digital marketing, literature, culture, social works etc. I wish to sustain any field. After pondering, I decided to walk on the path of language learning. Since I plan to join UN WOMEN one day, I see language learning as an asset for that.

In my higher secondary, I have opted for science with physical education. I have always exercise and playing as an essential part in the human schedule. I have played basketball and throw ball matches at the school level. Whereas science helped me to broaden the horizon of imagination and solving capacity.

After finishing my baccalaureate, I have decided to pursue my Bachelor’s with a French major. But with a cussed heart, I announce that I from the batch who are facing a horrifying Pandemic. Nevertheless, I turn this time in my favor and used the online world to learn as many things as possible. I use this time to learn a computer language, digital marketing, my language skills and to play the guitar. I have also attended the sessions of IMUN in the committee of UN Women.

After my Bachelor’s, I wish to pursue Masters in development studies from IIT Guwahati. This will be helpful in learning anthropology, sociology, world geography, gender development and socio-economic perspectives. This knowledge will pave my way for UN organizations.

Other than all these, I am planning to design a combined home one day for girl children and old citizens who are disowned by their family.
