Pursuing Bachelors in French from Department of Germanic and Romance Studies, the University of Delhi, I am an enthusiastic, innovative, creative and hardworking student with problem-solving and risk taking abilities.
I am a goal-oriented person with a strong academic base and good communication skills. I want to be a French translator and interpreter by profession.Apart from my regular course, I have also completed a certificate course in Mass Communication, Advertising and Marketing from Hansraj College, DU and a certificate course in Travel and Tourism from Department of Adult and Continuing Education, DU because I don’t want to limit my knowledge to the linguistic field.
I have worked in The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) as a summer intern under the European Division to explore new roles and leadership opportunities. I also support an NGO called UMEED by teaching the unprivileged part of the society.
After completion of this internship, I would prefer to join hands with an organisation which provides opportunities in the field of language translation for my professional growth.
Career Goals
A person should always on the lookout for opportunities to develop new skills and hone old ones. I am a kind of a person who has always been a learning enthusiast, likes to travel and explore new horizons.
I am a student of GRS Department, Arts Faculty, Delhi University pursuing B.A (Hons.) French (currently in 4th Semester). Being a regular student of this course, I also joined a certificate course in Mass Communication, Advertising and Marketing from Hansraj College, Delhi University to gain knowledge about different strategies of Advertising and Marketing in the social media and offline media domain in collaboration with R.K. Films and Media Academy. I am also enrolled in a certificate course of Travel and Tourism in Department of Adult and Continuing Education, Delhi University because of the flourishing tourism industry in India.
To summarize my life goals, I would like to emphasize on my determination to be a translator. My ongoing interest of being multilingual plays a very important role in the journey of my life. I know French (oral and written), English, Portuguese (basic written) and Hindi. Learning new languages not only boosts my CV but also builds my multitasking skills and improves my memory. This was evidently seen when I worked in FICCI as a summer intern in 2017. I was working under Europe division and hence proved my qualities.
Dreaming of working in a dynamic environment where people from different nationalities share their knowledge of their culture is my favourite passion. I aim to link my foreign language with other sectors like media. I do not want to limit my knowledge to the linguistic field and seek to make room for myself to explore new roles and potential leadership opportunities while embracing larger challenges.
I am a self-motivated student who vision life and work as an expression of oneself and my greatest treasures are my interpersonal communication skills in French as well as in English. I teach students till ninth in NGO called UMEED to work for the wellness of the society.
Doing an internship in MODLINGUA will be the first step towards my passion and dream of being a translator while learning through different mediums.
