Brief Profile
I am Riya Kalra. I will complete my graduation in the German language with French as my other language at the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies, University of Delhi. I have completed my high school from Dps, Hapur. From my childhood, I have been interested in learning new languages and knowing about new cultures. Since a very young age, I wanted to learn any other language apart from English and Hindi. I had learned Sanskrit in my high school for 2 years. So, for pursuing a better career after my schooling. I chose the German language as it is one of the known languages in the world with greater scope. I like to meet new people and learning about their cultures. Delhi university provided me with this opportunity as I learned many new things from German faculties. I also participated in our cultural German day program and got prizes for cooking German dishes and fairy tale posters. I also reached the last round of the DAAD scholarship course exchange program. I like listening to random German songs. That not only is pleasing to the ears but also helps me in increasing my vocabulary and strengthening my command on German. I am an adventurous person, love to travel, and have a dream of traveling to Germany. I am a hardworking and dedicated student having the ability to achieve big things after getting bright opportunities.
Career Goals
My short term is to work in an organization that can utilize my skills. I am a dedicated worker aiming to help achieve company goals and take on more responsibility as quickly as possible and therefore seeking to apply my abilities to fill the internship role in your company. As a person, one of the major goals in my life is always to be a better version of myself.During this internship, I want to work on my German to the highest level possible. I want to do this internship to open myself to a whole different experience of gaining practical knowledge of translation. I wish to be a translator/interpreter or work in the German Embassy or a reputed organization. Modlingua seems to me such a platform where I will be able to upgrade my skills and have practical experience too.
