Brief Profile

My name is Muskan Bhatia, I’m a second-year student of the BA Programme with a combination of French and Economics at Vivekananda College, University of Delhi. Learning a new language has always been a passion of mine as looking at people conversing in other languages apart from a native language is such a wonderful thing and I believe that language is one such tool that makes you feel confident and gives a nice blend of cultural exposure. I have been learning the French language for the past 5 years now and this has been quite a great journey for me from the day when this language was introduced to me in school to the day when I took it forward to pursue it as a bachelor’s degree, every step has really been enriching. I also hold DELF A2 certification in the language from alliance française de Delhi.

Besides, learning languages something that I love doing is writing down articles and some short extracts as I think writing keeps me motivated and gives me a space to be artistic with words and letters and allows me to express myself freely. Another thing that inspires me is to work for a better tomorrow, hence I have volunteered and interned with various NGOs like Bhumi, Team Everest, etc to help this society and its beings to have a bright future ahead. I have also interned with organizations like So Delhi which gave me a boost to handle various positions and encouraged me to work as a team. I also teach school students French and English language as a freelance tutor as it makes me feel independent and also helps in brushing up my skills of handling students in an organized way and giving them the best knowledge about the language. I aim to do my master's in the French language to further enhance my skills and have multiple opportunities later to work in my desired field with the best of my knowledge, skills, and experience.

Career Goals

I firmly believe that having life goals and being sincerely and consistently oriented towards career takes us forward professionally and makes us capable of handling various positions flawlessly in the long run therefore for me career has always been a priority, so learning a language for me is like both a dream come true and opening up of new avenues for the future. Also getting a chance to learn Economics as another discipline subject in my college apart from the French language is something that I think will help me build my administrative and financial capacity which is a great deal in today’s world as it will allow me to easily work with big MNC’s later because I will then be well enriched with the economic dimensions of different parameters along with good command over the French language which is always a plus point in almost every field and different work chambers.

I want to do my master's in French language only to further enhance my grip and hold on to the language so that I can become more fluent and confident in speaking it and understanding it better with a good command over the vocabulary aspects. I would like to take these language lessons forward to other individuals also and especially, I would love to introduce this beautiful language in villages and government schools of India to enrich those children with a skill that is highly valued in a global world today hence I would really love to impart my lectures and knowledge of French language to the underprivileged children free of cost and guiding them with the career opportunities associated with learning a foreign language so that they have a bright future and preparing them well for gracefully speaking the language for better and clear conversations in various life domains.

Also, I aim to work with organizations like the United Nations to do my bit for this society and making people aware and responsible citizens for every good action and bring a positive change by reaching out to the masses and making them learn about the importance of living in harmony and peace, the importance of education, etc for a better tomorrow and hassle-free world and, strongly think that language comes to play an important key role in carrying out such tasks smoothly. At last, I would like to say that I will be thrilled to get a chance to intern with Modlingua and I am prepared for continuous learning in this process along with my consistent work efforts for best results and stress-free work completion.
