| Hello, my name is JAGRITY ARORA and currently I am pursuing my graduation in English Honours from Delhi University. I will be graduated soon in June 2018 because I am currently into my final semester of graduation. Being a resident of Delhi, I completed my schooling from Sachdeva Public School in Rohini Sector 13 with commerce stream in 11th and 12th. I discovered my love in the field of language in my class 11th. Therefore followed the same path and about to complete my graduation in language of English. I am also doing German from Max Mueller Bhavan in CP, and completed my b1 level alongside with my graduation. Also I have a keen interest in writing poems, poems which are inspired by my own life. In other words, poems for me which are not a fiction. One of my poem, happy birthday was published in a book of “SPECTRUM OF THOUGHTS” by turquoise publications. Apart from this, I had also attended intensive writing workshop by “Udaan”. As a social worker, I worked as a member of NSS in my first year of college. I also gave English tuitions to school students in my second year of college. Alongside learning German and being a graduate in English, I discovered my interest in translation so decided to do internship in the same field. One day while surfing on google, I found the internship application for Modlingua and applied for the same. I found the internship as a great opportunity to train myself not only in the field of translation rather more than that. I hope that this internship will make me learn something which is beneficial for my career goals and add as a plus point to my profile. CAREER GOALS Being a bilingual person, my main interest is in learning a language and its culture, so in future I will like to pursue a job as a translator. Not only this, after my graduation I will prepare myself for MA German entrance examination and going to appear for it next year most probably. In addition, I would like to explore the world of translation and the idea how translation works as a bridge in between two or more languages. In future, I will like to cross this bridge by gaining immense knowledge and hard work in field of translation and languages. According to me, working with a language not only makes our thinking different from that of a layman but also it makes our mind to learn multicultural realities. I am so in love with learning different cultures and languages, and I think in languages Translation and Interpretation plays a significant role and according to me, Modlingua is the best leading platform to learn and gain the experience of translation as an intern. As a fresher, I am eager to learn and explore this new world by gaining my knowledge that can not only help in build up my profile but also enhance my personality as a self-development by learning new things that will be considered as a fruit to my fortune. I have had experience in teaching German to school and college students who had German as their secondary language. I have also been a part of German Dramatics at a smaller level. Also I have been a volunteer at an NGO that works for the betterment of Environment and slum children.
I believe in the quality of Patience and calmness. There is always my best attempt to maintain a positive Aura around. Also, I am a keen learner for language. I like to study vocabulary and gain new methods of speaking.
CAREER GOALS
*I want my Career Goals to be experience –oriented. I want to gain extinsively from my Education. To obtain a better vision of a different culture is my motive. The Understanding and sense of Interaction is my Goal. Over all, I wish to work with inter-cultural groups and have the most out of it.
*I wish for a career that provides me with the benefit to travel and explore. Practicing a different civilization would help me grow my communication skills. Furthermore, I intend to pursue a parallel professional skill for advancement in language. This would help me to gain the technical aspects practiced in a different world.
* My Motive is not much Academic specific rather I would approve for Satisfaction that comes from participating in multicultural programmes and Communication. I want to develop the methods of living in a different world and sexercise the art of Interaction.
