Language. What is actually a language? Moreover, why is it important to have a language?
Languages are the central theme of communication in every aspect of human efforts–be it in the social, economic, and political sphere. With the rise of globalization and with modern-day Indian emerging as a global player in the socio-economic scheme of things, it has become needful for every firm or individual to be well equipped with the ability to maintain parity with the rest of the world’s multinational and international players. There were days when people would afraid to go to a new country because of the language barriers. But now that is not the scenario anymore. People have become fearless and still there yet to be done more to develop this in the current world. 
To remain competitive and increase your career opportunity and job prospect, one must learn the language.
This is many jobs for language professionals. There are many other jobs in the language sector alone. With your knowledge of a foreign language, you can work as a translator or interpreter for a company or as an independent freelancer. There are so many opportunities for translators and interpreters in India these days, and thanks to the increasing entry of foreign firms and large-scale projects outsourcing to Indian companies by their European and American counterparts.
Acting as an interpreter or a translator can be very lucrative, depending on how experienced you are. You can also work for Media houses, Tourist centers, sports clubs, or any international company, and so on. Thanks to a plethora of job opportunities, Interpreter as a career option, is quite popular among students pursuing language courses. 
There are also career opportunities for the editor, proofreader, content writer, teacher, lecturer, corporate language trainer. The opportunity is just endless.

These things have actually encouraged many students to take up foreign language courses and eventually many of them end up being translators. But soon they realize being a translator in this competitive and changing world is far more difficult than imagined. Translators can spend decades of rigorous effort in the lead-up to their translation careers and certainly during such careers developing the crucial subject-matter expertise essential to the translation enterprise.  This process involves learning highly complex concepts in science, technology, philosophy, law, finance, business, music, and dozens of other fields through immersion in the lab, lecture hall, classroom, production line, fabrication plant, trading floor, or boardroom. 
This prolonged effort is crucial to our ability to precisely convey all these concepts across language barriers. But no matter how many fields they master as translators, will be the eternal question that has been asked of translators for many years:
“Which languages do you speak?”
This question suggests a notion of translation as a low-stress career of light reflection, picked up effortlessly while flipping up through pages.
But what people fail to understand is that translators not only translate words from one language to another, rather ideas, thoughts, and concepts from one to another. Therefore, many times firms take up very easily the work of translators. They rather prefer automatic translators such as some apps like Google translator or any other programs. But what they don’t realize is the quality of work that a good translator can provide. 
 Still, only 0.5% of the translated work gets published and only some people work as trained professional translators. And the rest just move towards teaching sector and work as professors or language teacher, since living gets hard. 
To eradicate this situation, translators can become entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is a solution and a fast-changing and developing way for the people. Entrepreneurship is a way out and into a very different world. They themselves are developing the world with the help of technology and resources. Translators can very well be one and that would help In promoting them and their business worldwide. It will help them manage their time and use it in a more efficient way to use their knowledge and expertise in the best way possible. 
There are many tools of technology that translators can use like CAT Tools and machine-generated translation, to develop additional competence. The major problem, is once again that not everyone is adept at online services, not all are capable of utilizing the social media exposure, as well as, the benefits of a huge online community of translators, linguists, and knowledge experts. At present, a huge chunk of the translation market is dominated by translators, tracking origin in Europe, and North America, leaving the service providers of Asia and Africa far behind. There are many other ways too like easy resource mobilization through Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.; use tools like website designing and social media marketing, etc. With all these, IT becomes the most important aspect to develop one's business. 
To bring this to a conclusion, I would like to again emphasize the art of entrepreneurship, teamwork, the IT sector, best usage of social media and one’s hard work and knowledge.
