Avneet Sharma

Avneet is a student of Portuguese Language and Linguistics. He has a major in Portuguese and besides that has basic knowledge of French and Spanish (CEFR A1). He has done Bachelor of Commerce from School of Open Learning, Delhi University and Master of Arts in Portuguese language and Lusophone studies from Goa University and worked as a foreign language teacher of English, French, and Portuguese at a school in North Goa.

He reads extensively about Goa and its cultural links. He is a person of dynamic nature and his interests vary. In Delhi, he had been an apprentice in a Sports Management Company where he learned sports administration and sports event management. He wants to specialize in Romance languages, linguistics and become a literary translator. Second language acquisition, sociolinguistics and lexicography are some areas where he intends to carry out researches in the future. Cross-cultural management, language documentation, digital learning, and photography are some of the other interests.  He is interested in learning Catalan now. He loves to travel and find creative ways to master a foreign language. He strongly believes that languages grows our knowledge space and broadens our horizon.
