Ananya Anupama

I am a student of Political Science at Delhi University. I had an inclination for learning languages so I opted for Spanish. I am presently enrolled in the B1.1 level in Spanish at Instituto Cervantes. I heard about this internship opportunity at Modlingua. I hope I will have a great time learning how to put my language skills to use in an actual working set-up. This will provide me with a learning experience in a formal set up while improvising my language skills in a widely used foreign language like Spanish.

Career Goals

Ever since my school days, humanities always interested me. I always wanted to learn about cultures, experiences, thoughts and ideas of human interactions and behaviours in social set-ups. My higher education fared well in Arts- I had Psychology, Sociology, Economics and Political Science as my

optional subjects, English as my main subject. I always loved reading and writing. Novels, newspapers and musings are my favourite areas of reading. I love writing. I have written several blogs and periodically maintain writing a diary.

Consequently, I took up Political Science and mastered in the subject. Since I had the potential to write, I learnt Spanish. English is the domain through which most of the official work takes place. I have good command over it. I also know Hindi and Odia. Knowing a regional, national and foreign language along with English created options for me to act as a translator.

I am looking forward to working as an Interpreter and Content Writer. I have written several blogs and interned for Content writing projects including business, fashion, travel and education blogs.

Although I have translated at many levels, this will be my first formal translation internship at Modlingua.
