Brief Profile:
We have always been told, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” But we live in a generation where the first impression tends to be the last. A kind of preconceived notion. My name is Sayanabha Das, currently pursuing BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Pailan College of Management and Technology in Kolkata. Since my childhood, the one thing that drives me is communication. Even in my school life, I focused mainly on communication. Communication is a diverse world and it’s just another form of creativity. “Translation and interpretation are an integral part of Communication.” And so I decided to learn Spanish so that I can overcome the barriers to a different part of the world- Latin America. Translation and interpretation open the door to a different world. Possibilities of exchange of ideas, cultures, heritage, thoughts make the world a better place. I am planning for DELE A2 this September 2020.
I am also a voluntary TED translator and transcriber.
Career Goals:
I believe “Translation and interpretation of ideas make the world a better place.” Although right now I am pursuing B.Tech, I desire to study B.A in the Spanish Language after completion of my B.Tech. As later on, I realized late in my career that my interest lies in a foreign language. I desire to take my career as a translator. So, by joining this internship with MODLINGUA, it would help me to gain experience in the practical field of translation. This field is full of challenges, and what matters the most in this arena, is the practical experience and how you deal with the challenges. “Know that challenges are not sent to you to destroy you. The can make you a better and stronger person.”
