Brief profile

I am a final year undergraduate student in the French and Francophone studies department at Jawaharlal Nehru University pursuing Bachelors's in French. I have been learning French for 12 years now and I’ve successfully cleared Embassy level DELF exams till B1. I possess professional proficiency in the language and besides French, I am also fluent in Hindi and English. I also started learning Spanish in which I do possess elementary proficiency. I have a knack of creativity which makes me ever curious to learn new languages. Apart from my love for languages, I am fond of painting and sketching. I’ve won many prizes for my paintings and posters at the school and university level. Also, I am in the painting club of JNU. Besides, having deep cultural interests, I have proved my mettle academically by being awarded a gold medal for seven years of consecutive academic excellence at school (DPS DWARKA) and at the university level, I’m also one of the top scorers with C.G.P.A of 8.5+ out of 9. I have also done pro- bono work with Teach for India which is the Indian leg of the global umbrella organization Teach For All which clearly shows that I always have a positive attitude and a will to take up initiatives and make a change in the society in my limited capacity. I am working as a foster family to several street dogs and I am responsible for their health and well-being. I am a diligent worker who can work under tight deadlines in a team with potent ease.

Career goals

I am an avid lover of the French language and a French culture aficionado. After completing my bachelor's, I wish to continue my studies in the French language. Learning languages like French offer a wide variety of opportunities in today’s world for a language enthusiast like me, as these languages serve as a means to be able to dive into different cultures and their histories. Not only, French, but I would also love to dive into linguistics to better understand the morphology and etymology of different words. I would love to use the oratory, pragmatic skills and knowledge about several cultures and their differences, acquired during this journey to bring about a unique perspective to the table of the current political system to improve the social fabric of the country. I want to learn more about technical translations and want an in-depth insight into the fields of management and teamwork. Being from commerce background, I understand how important is the concept of corps d’esprit for a company and I would like to translate the same in my work if allowed to be a part of your prestigious organization. I shall work in my full capacity to bring about all the possible success and will prove to be an asset for your organization. It would be an honor to be a part of your esteemed organization, to hone my educational skills and be able to grab as much experience and exposure as possible. I would diligently work to synchronize the organizational results with my personal goals and would deliver results effectively and efficiently.
