Brief Profile

My name is Ishita Barthwal and I am 20 years old. I am currently pursuing German(Hons) from the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies. I have studied Portuguese for a year as my Generic elective subject. I have done my schooling from Saket with stream “Science” as I have always wanted my options to be open. My interest in learning a foreign language developed when I chose French as my 6th subject and studied it for 3 years. In college, I chose German as it is one of the most spoken languages in Europe. I had learned French in school and college provided me with a great opportunity to learn a language that is so vastly spoken i.e, German. I am also learning German from Max Mueller Institute. Learning different languages has always been fun for me. I have always been an enthusiastic person and love to indulge in activities that support “Fun with Learning”.Our department celebrates German Day and for the last two years I have been participating in Geman play and it’s been really fun. I feel the more languages a person speaks the more he connects with the world on an emotional and practical level. Also, I'm pursuing a Diploma course in Business Process Outsourcing Finance and Accounting from Indra Gandhi National Open University and have already done a certificate course in IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) from Indian Law Institute.

Career Goals

I believe that goals change as one discovers oneself. It's hard to decide a long term career goal but as of now I am aiming to get a good job at an MNC and would also keep trying to get a job in German Embassy as it has been my goal for the longest time. Also, I used to teach some students basic level german which was really fun for me, so teaching is also something I am very open to pursuing. Being from a Science background, I want to expand my horizons to the commercial and corporate world as well. This internship seems to be provided with many new things like project management, e-marketing, etc. that I want to learn which surely are going to help me a lot in the future. At last, I would like to precise on the fact that by working with an organization such as Modlingua, I will be able to conquer my dreams and aspirations. This initial step would be one of the most prominent and pertinent steps in building up my professional career.
