My name is Akansha Baluni, 21 years old. I had completed my higher secondary education with PCM as the main subject from S.G.R.R. racecourse Dehradun, currently, I'm pursuing my last semester in graduation from Doon university in Chinese language (B.A.honors). My hobbies are arts, dance, makeup, fashion, and my main field of interest is learing about different Culture and their Ideas. I participated in many dances and acting events during my School time and won certificates and prizes, also in university I participated in the Chinese spring festival Chun Jie in which we got appreciated by our special guests from the Chinese embassy. I was very amazed to experience Chinese culture and I enjoyed learning about Chinese history and culture deeply. Not only that, I am always trying to learn different things, I am very passionate about the work I am assigned to and complete that with hard work.  I love to explore new things, which can help to sharpen my personality. I believe that a good, sharp, and smart personality are important for a person’s growth and that’s why I am trying to work on myself. Likewise, I have also a deep interest in fitness and love to do workouts. 2-3 years back, I found that I'm suffering from OCD (Obsessive Compulsion Disorder), in which I mostly suffered from panic attacks.

It was indeed a difficult time, but that however made me strong also. Now I am used to it and accepted myself for whom I am. I want to spread more about mental illness, want to talk more about it. It is also becoming one of the reasons why I am more excited about a foreign language. I want to sharpen my skills at Modlingua so that in the future I can do better.

 

 

 

'Carrier', that word which I was really scared about during my school days because I was never able to understand myself like what I want to become, what I want to pursue as my career. During high school, I choose Science as my major because I loved studying Science. 

 Then I realized that I have a deep interest in arts and studying about foreign culture and then the first step was to learn their language because it is the easiest way to understand one's culture and lifestyle. Then I choose to learn the Chinese language because Indian and Chinese cultures have some similarities. I started to watch Chinese dramas, which led to more excitement to learn their language. I want to learn more languages and to know more about different cultures, their style of dressing, makeup, and all. By learning different languages, I also want to spread knowledge about mental health. I want to start my youtube channel, by which I can reach out to more people socially, connect to them through different foreign languages.
