Brief profile

I am a Harshita Mehta, and I have completed my graduation in the German language at the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies, University of Delhi. I have done my schooling in Delhi with the “Humanities” stream. Since my childhood, I have always been interested in learning new languages and about their cultures. And I love the idea of connecting people with a different culture through their native tongue. And I wanted to explore more about it. So I have decided to pursue my further studies in the German language because it is the most widely spoken language in Europe. And it’s always been fascinated me to know German cultures, their beliefs, and theories. After I graduated from Delhi University, I started working as a freelancer. And as a freelancer, I mainly worked for small- medium-sized companies in this sector. And I am certified in the third position at the school level in Academics activity and, as well as I am certified in the Domestic Data Entry Operator course. I am more dedicated to my work, adaptable & also hardworking. Besides, I am ambitious by nature which means that organizing schedules, managing things, and coming up with great ideas won’t be a problem. I understand the hardships of this field of work, but I am not afraid of the challenges. During this internship, I want to extend the reach of my knowledge and also polish my skills. Besides, my interests in exercise, painting, reading books, learning new skills, and traveling. And I feel that these activities help me to relax as they invigorate my soul, and it is also a great way to unleash my creative side.

Career Goals

I believe that creativity in the workplace is the key to success. As of now, my short-term goal is to get a job that compliments my expertise and helps me widen my horizons with exciting learning opportunities. I am upskilling myself with learning new concepts and ideas and working in a new and challenging environment.

In the bigger picture, I wish to be a Translator\Interpreter or work in the German Embassy or a reputed organization where I utilize my skills. And being a translator is not an easy task it brings a lot of responsibilities along with it. And I plan on gaining additional skills by taking a related opportunity and continuing my involvement with a variety of professional associations. I noticed that your company provides better exposure, and I would certainly be interested in taking relevant opportunities. That’s why I am eager to work with this organization. Which can be a new experience for me and, I could polish my existing skills and get to know new ones and learning these as an intern from a well-reputed organization like Modlingua would be one step towards my dream. I will be looking for opportunities to expand my responsibilities with any role to work towards my goals. My strong problem-solving and analytical skills could be well utilized at Modlingua’s summer internship program that will allow me to explore my career opportunities in this path and enhance my skills.
